Making cookies

Again my photos are opposite of the way I entered them...
But you get the idea!
The best part!
Oops! Had her face too close when she added the flour!
Oooo!
She sampled each ingredient (except the egg) and
then the dough after each ingredient was added...
Truly looking at the science of a recipe!
A pinch for me, a pinch for the cookies...
This is how she added the entire 3/4 cup of sugar.
Baking the dough kills germs, right?

Lacing Cards

Cheye was intrigued by Mariah's lacing cards...
So Mariah taught her how to do it.
Soon I will have 2 sewers to train!
I think Cheyenne may really get into crossstich!

Mariah, go get some clothes on.

Ask a 4 year old to dress herself and this is what you may get.
The fairy wings are a nice touch.
I'm SURE the doctors and nurses at the clinic will appreciate them!
Oh yes, the Dorothy Shoes make the outfit!
Do you think her 'tween sister will be embarrassed
when we go to her 12 year check up dressed like this?
YES!!!

A McCarty Get-Together

Wee Little Fairies
Brinda, Tucker, and Mariah
Are they adorable or what?
Tucker is 6 weeks older than Mariah.

A heated game of Cranium!
A good way to burn off all the food we ate!
This team looks much more relaxed.

With all those brains they HAVE to figure it out!!!

Hello? Nana?

Christmas Break is over.
The house is quiet...
Mama is back at work and Cheye is back at school...
Mariah asked to call Nana...
They had a great talk...

Haircut!

Mariah asked for a haircut...
It's super cute!
After her haircut we went to Cub for Groceries.
A woman in the entryway commented on her cute hair.
Mariah asked 4 times in the store
why no one else was saying her hair was cute...

Painting

Mom used to "surprise" us by painting rooms while we were gone to school.
I know now that she was REALLY just doing it
when she wouldn't get any "help" from us kids!

It turned out pretty well...
Will be wonderful without the tape!

Cheyenne's room was MUCH more fun!
I locked myself inside her room
and Carol dealt with the girls!
Peace and JOY!
Happy New Year!
Thank you, Carol!!!

One of the best things about it was the cost!
Menard's has an $8.99 a gallon paint and
right after Thanksgiving they had an $8 rebate on it!
I painted Cheyenne's room for $.99 and Mariah's for $1.98!
Go ahead! Change your favorite color next month!!!
I'll repaint!!!

Fluffing your Cat

People always comment on Emily's Fluffy tail.
It's wider than her body.
This is how we accomplish the look...
